June's Tarotpy Message: Share the Medicine Your Ancestors Couldn't

Happy June, Everyone!

In this month's Tarotpy spread, we have a friendly and encouraging message from our friends at Wisdom of Pooh Tarot by Mesa & Amsel and The Animal Elders Oracle by Frost & Pichette.

Let's begin with that gorgeous spider weaving her web by the light of that full moon. A spider's web is a reminder of the interconnectedness of our existence. From past to present to future. It's highly possible that some of our ancestors had to weave their medicine, their wisdom, their stories in the dark, by the light of the moon because it wasn't safe to be exposed and transparent. And maybe that still feels true to you today. Perhaps you believe you are not safe to be transparent enough to share your medicine. Your medicine may include words of advice and wisdom, leadership, a skilled offering, an artistic expression, or your authentic, loving presence.

Do you remember the story of Charlotte's Web by E.B. White? The two main characters are a gentle pig named Wilbur and his friend Charlotte, a barn spider. When Wilbur faces slaughter, Charlotte saves his life by weaving descriptive messages into her web, proving he is extraordinary and inspiring the whole community. Near the end of the story, Charlotte informs Wilbur of her life coming to its natural end, but she leaves behind one last egg sac containing hundreds of spiderlings to ensure her legacy. Charlotte's death is heartbreaking for Wilbur, but three of Charlotte's eggs stay in the barn and grow to become his new friends. Her daughters Joy, Aranea, and Nellie.

The medicine Charlotte passes onto her three daughters and Wilbur is the medicine of unconditional love, friendship, and intuitive wisdom.

Can we ask for better medicine than that?

The next two cards in this spread - 2 of Honey Pots and 9 of Honey Pots - are encouraging us to share the medicine our ancestors couldn't because when we do, we strengthen our interconnectedness and bring to life the abundance of loving community.

In a world that's extremely polarizing and downright scary, we need each other's medicine.

We need our interconnected hearts to weave together, leaving behind a legacy of love, healing, and friendship.

Thanks, Pooh & Friends ;)
